About Wake up Screaming
Wake up Screaming is an online arts magazine, window to the soul, or something that is yet to be described. A magazine dedicated to the universe, based in Glastonbury U.K.
Follow us on facebook where we share our archive of articles on all sorts of creative and esoteric topics.
This very special arts magazine is released with each New Moon, providing the editor and contributing artists with four week periods to explore and respond to themes like: Alchemy, Trees, Numbers, Rest, Chance etc. Note: This month’s theme “The Mind” will span 2 months, released on 6th January.
New work, old work, published or not, Wake up screaming is an open space designed for artists to respond honestly to interesting themes. Each of our editions acts as gathering place for artists interested subjects at the core of life, existence consciousness. Wake up screaming is a little fire in the woods that provides an open space for artists to convene and exchange ideas. Through this collaborative act we hope to learn a little bit more about ourselves and each other, and aid in each other’s creative development.
We embrace art as a means for personal and spiritual development and encourage inward investigation via monthly themes. The cycles of the moon act as an inspirational and motivational focal point, providing four week periods in which to study topics that are calling for our attention. Each edition is released and a new theme set for each New Moon.
We are a multimedia, interdisciplinary magazine, we love variety and cross-pollination. We publish visual art, illustration, writing, poetry, articles, music, films, animations, interviews and collaborations, articles relating to all sorts of intriguing and sometimes esoteric topics.
