Jodie Day – Sacred Cuts

Alchemy has always been of interested to me. Even as a young child, I was always intrigued by potions and magic.

The idea of taking things from the world around us in order to create something not on offer to us by itself, was an idea that probably fed into my now passion for Herbalism.

I feel a certain familiarity to the process of creating a piece of collage. By taking images of things that exist in the world by themselves, I then use them together to create a new platform for a feeling or experience to take place.

It is this synergy that I find inspiring and why I continue to work the same way.
