Nedret Pekcan

The obscurities which bring me inspiration; usually involve the notion of time, use colour interactions, and are portraits. Sometimes, these themes progress independently, and sometimes they merge and mix. Rather than a conclusion, they exist as a sheer appearance of ‘betweenity.’

Abstract shapes transform and change into an unstable and restless world. An early summer – late winter fades in. Unexpected or forgotten things, movies, faces, immense space – or little ordinary stories.. Each image behaves not as it should be – just as it is. Exhausted or peaceful, volatile or solid.
