Paola Gabrielli – Chance Encounters

I’m an Italian photographer currently based in London. I’ve been working on this concept of chance for about 8 years now. I have always felt the need to understand more about it and I usually research about it using art. Photography is the media that I use the most, maybe for that feeling of catching a moment that will never repeat itself in the same way.

The project that I’m submitting is the final project of my Master Degree a couple of years ago and the title is Chance Encounter.

“The object of my research are the daily chance encounters that happen between colours, pictures, shapes, animals, human being. The way how Google Street View froze these moments, allow me to navigate into a multitude of situations, with a wide range of subjects, all made by Chance.”
